Getting to Les Gets

The Portes du Soleil is located in the heart of the French Alps and is easily accessible from Geneva Airport and the French Motorway. Les Gets is one of the first villages you reach when entering the region.

The quickest route is by AIR to Geneva and then to DRIVE for just one hour to Les Gets. There are several airlines now offering low cost flights direct from the UK.

It is also possible to drive the 900 km from Calais (which in a larger group may be more economical). There is approximately £30 to pay in tolls on the Autoroute each way.

During the summer months we encourage our guests whenever possible to have their own transport as there are a huge variety of activities that take you all over the Portes du Soleil and several places of interest close by like the town of Annecy.

Flying
Les Gets is only 1 hours drive from Geneva Airport, making this the most convenient place to fly to. Several airlines now offer low cost flights.

Airport transfers
We can arrange to meet you from your flight and deliver you directly to our chalet in a private 8 seater minibus.
PRICES: £50 per person return (£25 each way).

Car Hire
Les Gets is easily accessible via the ‘Autoroute Blanc’ motorway directly from Geneva Airport. There are a range of car hire companies at the airport if you wish to self drive. Please note, we recommend hiring a Swiss car as travel in and out of Geneva airport is much easier. We also recommend hiring snow chains and snow tyres in winter.

How to get about in the Portes du Soleil

Walking
Due to the excellent location of our chalet, the centre of town is only a short 10 minute stroll away. The ski lift is only 100 metres from the Chalet which links directly with all the lifts covering the Portes du Soleil area.

Bus
The bus stop is located at the end of our road only 2 minutes walk away. A free bus runs all day with regular stops throughout the area.

Taxi
Several taxi firms operate year round throughout the area. We have all the contact numbers and prices in the chalet.
