Don’t miss the incredible south-facing slopes of Mont-Chery during your skiing adventure! This hidden gem in Les Gets offers a slightly more challenging experience than the Chavannes sector. The Chamois is a fantastic long red run for confident intermediates looking to improve their skills. Hop on the Mont-Chery gondola, then take the Pointe Chairlift for breathtaking views of Mont Blanc. The upper section is wide and scenic, while the lower half surprises with varied terrain. Enjoy every moment on this beautiful mountain!

Experience the thrill of fresh tracks on this steep piste after a snowfall, as the lift comes to life. Embrace the challenge of moguls that push you to new heights. Though not the longest run, its steep nature offers an adrenaline rush. Just beyond the trees, explore the enchanting off-piste variations, but tread carefully for hidden treasures beneath the snow. From the top of La Rosta chair, take a deep breath and plunge into an unforgettable descent, with the daring red Eglantine piste and gentle blue runs on either side.

Ascend the Lac-Intrets chairlift from Avoriaz to enjoy one of the highest viewpoints in the Portes du Soleil ski area. This stunning ride takes you down one of the longest runs, ending in Les Prodains. Although this black run presents challenges, especially when icy, it has hosted women’s World Cup downhill races. By the time you reach the bottom, you’ll experience the thrill that pros feel as they conquer it in just under two minutes. For strong intermediates, this run is an essential ski adventure.

While this area can get busy during peak times, it’s worth exploring, especially if you’re still improving and want to venture away from base. From Les Gets, take the blue runs to Morzine via Pleney, then head to Avoriaz via the Super Morzine télécabine. At the Prolays chairlift’s top, follow the blue piste to Lindarets, passing the famous ‘Stash’ snowpark in the forest. In Lindarets, you can choose to return to Avoriaz or head toward Chatel, but don’t miss the Village des Chèvres for a mandatory lunch stop. Afterwards, continue to Ardent where you can go back up the gondola or stop at the Happy Hours bar for après ski.

Stretching nearly 4.5 kilometres, this blue run is a key route from the high-speed Chavannes chairlift back to Les Gets. Its gentle slopes are ideal for beginners, offering plenty of space even during busy times. With snow cannons all the way down you’re assured excellent conditions throughout winter. While it may not be a classic, for first-timers, it marks an important milestone on their skiing journey.
