The Trail des Gets is a challenging mountain race with stunning alpine scenery, offering a range of routes for all abilities. Also included is a 4 hour climbing challenge – as many times up under the Mt Chery telecabin as possible in 4 hours! Taking place at the end of July each year the village celebrates trail running! Great atmosphere and organisation. A range of distances for kids ages 7-17 offers a fun introduction to trail running!

Centered around the stunning Lac Annecy, the Maxi Race is an annual ultra-trail race offering challenging terrain and stunning alpine views. Options include a full tour, half or quarter tour of Lake Annecy – via the mountains surrounding the lake of course! Races for younger children to experience the same finish line as the elite runners that this event attracts are available for under 10 years old – a must do for future trail runners 🙂

Established in 1979, the Marathon Mont Blanc now offers a range of distances from a KMV to a mighty 90km with 6330m of climbing! The scenery is stunning and the chance to finish at an epic Chamonix finish line makes this a must do event in the Alps! Kids races are also available so all the family can get involved.

UTMB (Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc), is one of the most famous ultra-marathons around Mont Blanc. It’s a challenging trail race covering around 171 km with significant elevation, drawing top runners globally. With a huge range of races now available (with entry requirements) or just visiting Chamonix whilst this race is on is an incredible experience!
