The epic weekly battle continues, this week from Mont Caly in Les Gets.
Summer is here, bringing incredible weather and steady temperatures in Les Gets! In our ongoing Monday morning Alpine Battle, Mountain Biker Chris and Trail Runner Beth have chosen the stunning Mont Chery as their next challenge. Kicking off from Mont Caly at an impressive 1445 metres above sea level, they will tackle a thrilling loop that circles Mont Chery. This trail promises technical ups and downs, steep climbs, and exhilarating descents that will surely push their limits!
Chris raced off the starting line, eager to make his mark. He faced a muddy bog and a fallen tree but pushed on. Beth surged ahead, yet Chris quickly closed the gap. They approached a steep descent, navigated a turn over a stream, and charged up a rocky incline. Beth regained the lead, but Chris’s tenacity propelled him forward. The thrilling downhill trail offered stunning views of Mont Blanc. Chris rallied, took the lead, and crossed the finish line. It’s a tie at 1 for Chris and 1 for Beth from last week. The excitement builds for next week’s challenge—who will win?
