Established in 1979, the Marathon Mont Blanc now offers a range of distances from a KMV to a mighty 90km with 6330m of climbing!  The scenery is stunning and the chance to finish at an epic Chamonix finish line makes this a must do event in the Alps!  Kids races are also available so all the family can get involved.

The 90km is a ballot entry system but well worth the wait if you don’t get in on the first attempt!  This course can be every season in one day!  2024 started with snow and finished super hot and sunny!  The route is challenging -some steep climbs and descents but linked with runnable mountain trails.  After the final 1200m+ climb at km 80, runners are treated to a truely stunning traverse between Montenvers and Plan de l’Auguille but keep something in the legs for the descent to Chamonix – nearly 10km of constant descent before running through Chamonix town and a well deserved finish line celebration!

This is an amazing trail running celebration weekend in the capital of trail running.  Every one of these races offers an awesome atmosphere with big finish lines – either in Chamonix town or at the top of a telecabin – if the UTMB races aren’t for you, this weekend gives you a taste of the Chamonix experience!
